A Commitment to Community Involvement

We care deeply about the communities in which we work and live. From mentorship programs to companywide charitable giving, we constantly seek opportunities to affect positive, measurable changes to communities.

It is important to us to partner with our clients, who help us identify where we can have the greatest impact. Gannett Fleming employees are united in the mission to improve our world, and that commitment is demonstrated through our work, but also our donations, sponsorships, and volunteerism.

Mentoring is key to:

For example, Gannett Fleming supports the ACE mentor program given its success in supporting students pursuing careers in the architecture, construction, and engineering (ACE) industry.

Gannett Fleming also fosters a culture of mentoring within our firm. The Connected Relationships™ Mentoring Program, a joint effort of our employee resource groups, utilizes the existing knowledge, skills, and experience of senior employees by connecting them with less experienced employees. Mentors and mentees alike benefit from this program, as it facilitates:

• Leadership skill building.
• Professional growth.
• Networking.

Education is essential for success, but factors like rising costs can create roadblocks for students and potential students. At Gannett Fleming, we’re working to remove these obstacles by supporting students through our scholarship offerings – the AEC Scholarship and the Gannett Fleming Scholarship Fund.

At Gannett Fleming, we believe in the diversity of our team and the innovative solutions they provide. And we want to be a driving force to move our industry toward more diverse and inclusive conditions The AEC Scholarship supports a Black student as they pursue a career in engineering (civil, environmental, electrical, mechanical), construction services, computer science, or architecture. The AEC Women’s Scholarship supports a female student in the same fields.

The Gannett Fleming Scholarship Fund is for the children and grandchildren of Gannett Fleming employees who show exceptional leadership and character. Working through The Pittsburgh Foundation, we have supported more than 60 students thanks to the generosity of the Gannett Fleming family, both past and present.

We have a passion for creating strong communities where we work and live. To achieve this, Gannett Fleming partners annually with United Way. United Way is an international network of more than 1,800 local nonprofit fundraising affiliates that improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities to advance the common good. Thanks to the generosity of our employees and our 10% corporate match, Gannett Fleming helps our communities in a significant way.

In addition to some of our corporate-wide activities, the Gannett Fleming team is unfailingly generous. Our employees participate in a wide variety of charitable causes and volunteering opportunities.

These activities are as diverse as our communities. We support local and national STEM events, from elementary school through college-level mentorships, and participate in back-to-school giving to help set students up for success. Our employees give their time and financial support to food drives and food banks that help alleviate stress on the growing food-insecure population. During the holidays, we also coordinate toy drives and sponsor families in need.
