Future Generations at Gannett Fleming
With a vision to drive the future of the firm, Future Generations at Gannett Fleming (FuGen) seeks to amplify the voice of early-career professionals by coordinating and facilitating the inclusion of diverse perspectives across all levels of experience. This group of young professionals has been driving positive change since its formation in 2013. Made up of more than 10 diverse individuals from across the firm, the committee reports directly to the Gannett Fleming Board of Directors.
What We're Doing
“ASK ME ANYTHING” WEBCASTS
FuGen features senior leadership within the firm in open format, Q&A discussions with the goal of providing transparency and a sense of connection for all employees.
Companywide Engagement
FuGen brings employees together regardless of location via virtual events. Themed networking sessions, professional development events, and panel-style showcases are all ways that FuGen helps employees meet and learn from each other.
Leadership Opportunities
FuGen offers virtual and in-person opportunities for career growth independent of one’s day-to-day assignments. We work alongside fellow FuGen members, other ERGs, and corporate leadership to find opportunities to engage our future leaders and meaningfully contribute to corporate culture and initiatives.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
FuGen leaders authored Gannett Fleming’s internship program outline and are a part of the internship committee. FuGen members also serve as supervisors and mentors for interns.
