Chicago Transit Authority Program Management
As the managing partner of the Transit Capital Partners Joint Venture (TCP JV), Gannett Fleming is implementing program management services for the Infrastructure Core Program and Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) project in support of the nation’s second-largest public transportation system, Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). These services include CTA system renewal updates, which will improve operational capabilities, reliability, and sustainability across the system.
A $3 billion, 5-year capital improvement program and a $1 billion state-funded capital investment for CTA is the basis for the contract, of which infrastructure improvements are a significant component. The team provides implementation, program controls, administration, construction, interface management, quality management, and safety. The JV also provides general oversight management and planning, technical leads in systems integration, civil and track, architecture, as well as construction management and operations interface management personnel.
Project controls are integrated and provides the quantitative analyses and reporting to successfully manage budget, schedule, and scope. Project administration is also critical for successful delivery of CTA’s capital projects and the program and includes records management, closeout, and e-Builder. The JV assists CTA with construction management procurement and oversight, GEC procurement and oversight, adjacent construction coordination, ongoing risk identification, operations interface coordination, contractor change management, and construction look-ahead reporting.
