In the News: MTA EastBound Re-Route Construction Named a Top Project by RT&S
A recent edition of Railway Track & Structures magazine features the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) EastBound Re-Route Construction for the East Side Access project.
Gannett Fleming is the prime designer for the project, located within Harold Interlocking, the largest railroad junction in New York City and the busiest in the U.S. The project scope includes the design and construction of a new cut-and-cover tunnel, modifying and re-supporting the existing Honeywell Street Bridge, demolition and new track and traction power work, and overhead catenary systems. These improvements will benefit the daily commute for thousands of citizens and provide congestion relief for trains on the Northeast Corridor.
