Joseph Deery is Gannett Fleming’s first-ever chief growth officer, a position born of the firm’s continued expansion in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.

He is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the firm’s comprehensive growth operating plan.
  • Guiding all business development and sales activities.
  • Revamping core go-to-market strategies and systems.

Deery most recently served as a market executive, using his keen understanding of the unique issues and mobility priorities in California to support clients throughout the Western U.S.

Deery joined Gannett Fleming in 2021 after more than 30 years of construction, design, and delivery experience developing and supporting complex programs and projects.

Throughout his career, he has been known for his collaborative project oversight, strong relationships, and team-first mentality. Always future-focused, Deery is a thought leader regarding mobility, technology, alternative project delivery methods, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) in the AEC industry.
